The Story Behind the Print - Porcelain Sky

Posted on February 24 2016

Inspiration can come from the strangest places. The print, “Porcelain Sky” started with a teacup. By the time it was finished, the colors had shifted from pink to blue and a number of hand drawn and computer generated textures were added.  The darker blue spine-covered shape that appears throughout the print was actually a ballpoint doodle that was scanned and colored electronically.

The final garment is pretty far away from its origins, but that’s the thing about ideas…you never know where they’ll take you.

I like hearing the story behind the prints. Which garment is your personal favorite so far, and what is the story behind it’s design?
